Apple statement recomending automatic Duck and not devloping its owm solution makes me think that Apple is relying on developers to make the pro addons to fcpx. This sounds great at first but then when you think about it the cost can ad up into the thousands to have fcpx function like a pro app.

I think that more than any other major corp, the bottom line is a higher priority. Apple is on a roll in terms of consumer markets that is where the money is. No highend customer support Should have seen the writting on the wall when “apple computers became just “apple”

For that price i their are various low end prosumer cams from panasonic and sony. check at bhphoto.com, Or go to ebay and buy a higher end used cam.

Its the last bastions of high end production gear being opened for the masses. Just like kodak, grass valley and sony sooner or latter will feel it very hard.
Just like what dv and nle of a decade ago did to production and post.
