Just fixed it by right clicking avid in the dock once the export had finished and selecting show all windows. This seemed to somehow make it show all windows the next time I exported! Woohoo!

I’m having the same issue! Just started a new show and when exporting I can’t see the exporting window at all but i can’t access avid, so it is exporting. It’s annoying to not see the progress bar though and be able to manage my time! Any solutions to this would be greatly appreciated!
