February 1, 2014 at 4:11 pm in reply to: Lost Audio In Premiere Pro. Total Audio Dropout. Ouch Deadline!!Thanks James. We did try that with but it didn’t work. The only thing that I have had success with is roundtripping it through After Effects. This seems to bring the audio back. I would have never thought of this workaround but thanks to the tech at adobe and Kevin’s suggestions I had success with it. Whatever happened between PluralEyes and Premiere Pro wound up corrupting the project and autosaves. So much so that if I even imported that new “AE to Premiere” roundtripped project into the old project then those new sequences got corrupted too. So I had to only work with a fresh export from AE to PP. So far everything is running like normal. Hopefully it stays that way.

January 31, 2014 at 11:08 pm in reply to: Lost Audio In Premiere Pro. Total Audio Dropout. Ouch Deadline!!No not the way we shot. It was a conference with DSLRs no timecode. But plural eyes worked it’s usual magic. It would be nearly impossible without it. The thing is that it worked fine for a whole day which means I didn’t know there was an issue and I got deep into the edit. The tech I talked to suggested that if you choose the plugin through Premiere instead of bringing in the clips by themselves into PE that there shouldn’t be a problem. We hope but I don’t know if I can trust it. What are your thoughts.
For my current issue he showed me that I could get the audio back by importing the project into After Effects then back to Premiere. I’ll see if that works to at least retain my edits. I just looked at it briefly when it came in and it seemed like a mess but I’ll spend a little time with it and report back.
But most importantly why would it effect other sequences that had nothing to do with pluraleyes?

https://forums.adobe.com/message/6073270#6073270You’ll see I posted mostly the same info.
Just hardly any replies. I’ve been on the phone with a PP tech but he seemed confused as to the reason why it would be doing this. Then he told me he had a very important meeting he had to go to. Really?? Now I have to call back and start again with another one. This has been one of those days.
Thanks for checking into it.

You can roll back by following these directions:
Revert back to previous build (this is not through Adobe so please take caution if you choose to take this route. Other users have successfully used this method).
Here you can download the trial they are all the first build (7.0)

Well it might be rollback time for me too. One other issue I encountered was with a project that was running fairly smooth. A not too complex 1 hour documentary. What’s strange is when I zoom out to see the whole timeline everything chokes. It will take literally 8 seconds to move the cursor or activate the menu or zoom into the timeline. Once I did finally zoom in then it acted normal again. This makes it impossible to view the entire timeline. I’m curious if I rollback if these issues will disappear. Just thought I’d mention that I’ve seen the red frames you speak of and had audio dropouts in 7.1 just not quite as much as now.
Basically this is a trial year for me and premiere pro. Editorial monogamy. It’s been a bit rocky but I have hope that our relationship will improve. If not after 12 months then I will start seeing other edit packages.

December 10, 2013 at 6:40 pm in reply to: Tight deadline! Problems with Particular ProjectI had meant to follow up on this thread. I did think that freeform was my only solution but the deadline got pushed and I was so determined to find an answer with particular cuz I’m stubborn that I finally got what I needed. Which was between 100-200 unique photos in the proper order with the proper spacing without any repeated images.
Here is the result.
Solution:
Because of the desired speed of the particles and proper spacing needed I could only emit 10 particles a second to get the look I wanted. What this wound up doing was skipping images from the source layer and eventually repeating images. With closer look I realized that particular was grabbing every 14th frame from the source layer but the images were only 1 frame each, so there was the issue. The solution was to make each photo 14 frames long then sequence them as you would normally. This gave the proper spacing in time. You would have to adjust for your project since it won’t always be the same numbers. What I like about using particular for this kind of thing is I get full control over each particle, it’s more manageable due to the large amount of images, and If I need to replace the photos with a new batch it only takes a few minutes to implement. Thanks for everyone’s input.

Hello Kevin,
I know this is an old post so hopefully you’re still around.
I did try your expression:value – [2*timeToFrames(time),0]
pasting it into the position property but it made the text scroll to the left and not roll up. How do I change the expression for it to roll the credits appropriately?

Is there a way to copy and paste a complete node? Is there a proper solution for this in version 10? I’m not sure this was answered in this post or I didn’t understand the solution. Another example for practical use. I have a vignette that I need to apply to a group of clips that all have a different color node tree without. I need to do this without overwriting the last node in the tree.
This is the only way I know how to do it now.
1. Add a node. Apply the vignette to the node.
2. Copy the node.
3. Go to another clip add another node then paste the vignette settings. How I want it to perform in step 3.
3. Select multiple clips and paste the actual node not just the settings which would append to the node tree. This makes it so I don’t have to go into each clip creating a unique node.
Thoughts?

October 15, 2013 at 12:34 am in reply to: Tight deadline! Problems with Particular ProjectDeadline is passed and it looks like freeform was the solution for now. But I’m so determined to find a solution using particular so here I am again following up. Cassius your suggestion would work if it didn’t matter what order the photos emitted. The problem is I have to stick with the emission number of 30 since that’s my frame rate, to keep all images in the proper order and to make sure I don’t have any duplicates. In the project you sent me you added this expression:
t=thisComp.layer(“Draw Path”).inPoint;
thisComp.layer(“Draw Path”).position.valueAtTime(t);Which made the particles follow the leader. Is there anything else we could add to the expression to delay the trailing particles so they don’t all stack on top of each other? Basically create an offset for each particle that’s following?
If it’s impossible with an expression then I will drop this obsession ;).
