hey, I had this problem recently when working with a sequence of images and no amount of windows restarts/cache clearing helped remedy it. I discovered the error Premiere Pro 2.0 reports has nothing to do with the actual problem (go Adobe), at least in my case. I found one image file in my sequence that was corrupt. As soon as I replaced this single image file (in this case it was one .BMP out of 1000 images) Adobe loaded the entire sequence with no more errors.
