I recommend you stay away from .MOV format as Dave says. The output quality is not that good and the file size is huge. You’ll be better off sticking to MP4 with H264 compression. Here’s a preset for Full HD render, you just import it into Media Encoder and then drag and drop it onto the comp, before the render

What export format are you using? Maybe try to render it out as a PNG sequence or a JPEG sequence and see if that helps out in any way. At least if the render breaks you don’t have to start all over again from the beginning.

I always disable the fast draft option as well. It works really slow for me. On another note, do you have the hardware acceleration turned on?

August 14, 2017 at 8:18 pm in reply to: After Effects TWO HUNDRED HOURS render time…Ridiculous!Try to render it as an Jpeg Sequence, or PNG sequence, then assemble everything. Still, for your configuration, which is very solid, you shouldn’t get this ridiculous render time. Maybe AE doesn’t really like one of the video formats you imported into the project

August 8, 2017 at 5:00 pm in reply to: move object/layer automatically and make it a loopHi Wei,
I would personally keyframe the movement once, precompose the layer and add the loop expression to it. You add the loop expression to the Time remap property. Hit “Ctrl+Alt+T” to toggle the time remap effect and add the expression: loop_out(“cycle”,0)
If you’re not sure how to do it, here are the steps in detail:

August 7, 2017 at 1:38 pm in reply to: Looking for a li’l assistance with some Motion TrackingThere’s no need to necesarrily use Mocha, you can do it in AE with the 3D tracker tool. Here’s a technique you can use and also add a “shadow catcher” to the element you are placing in the scene:

Did you try to render the comp out as Jpeg image sequence? Maybe try the secret menu as well and disable cache and set it to purge the memory every frame. You need to hold down the shift key in the preference menu to access it
Click “read more” under the video if you’re not sure how to access the secret menu

Try to turn off any motion blur for certain comps, it will really help with the speed of rendering. If you’re rendering inside AE, disable screen refresh by pressing Caps Lock
