I get the same problem with Vegas 9 Pro with large 1920 x 1080 HD files from Cannon 5d cameras. I go to Project Properties, Video, and set the Pixel Format to 8 bit when I’m EDITING and the flicker goes away. At 32 bit it flickers when I play it. When I render I set it back to 32 Bit and the render USUALLY is ok but sometimes it has suttle flickers in it. I also read a thread somewhere that version 9.0b doesn’t have this problem but I have 9.0c. I have also had success by re-encoding the original to a lower rate, like from 40+mbs down to 35mbs or less using free “MPEG Streamclip” from Squared 5 software. They worked fine at 32 Bit Pixel Format. Hope this helps.
