    Hello Walter,

On a regular basis i do animations with maps to illustrate zones of influence, routes or merely to point a location.

    Here is a sample:

I use a serie of screen captures of Google map, then i patch them together to make a higher dimension map, so i can zoom in and out of it without loosing quality.

To get the images i use this API:
    https://gmaps-samples-v3.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/styledmaps/wizard/index.html
It let me edit the appearance and content of the map. It also generates a code(JavaScript) for use it as web content.

It would be so useful if i could use the content generated by the API inside After Effects.

    If it’s possible…

    Thanks Walter,

The image I’ve posted is from the adobe site, it make me came with the idea of customizing the colors of those UI items.

What i really want it is not to have them blue but any color, maybe orange, green or white, maybe a mix, some elements in one color and the others in another color.

What i need is a way to modify it, maybe the way I’ve done(by changing the color value of the “Hot Text” in the AE preference file (Adobe After Effects 12.0 Prefs.txt), because AE don’t have options in the preferences menu.

By the way, I’ve downloaded the free trial and in the creative cloud it says that is up to date, but don’t show the variation or a way to do it.

    Thanks for replying…

Yes it’s very close, but it’s missing:

    -Selected panel border
    -Switches icons
    -Current time indicator
    -Work area
