  • Hi
The declink cards are good deals.. Most only take sdi in..the extream model takes analog in and out. Another consideration you should have is drive space and speed. Since the bit rates are alot higher then dv. as far as cables u’ll need 6 coax and at least 4 xlr audio’s thats the min…
    good luck

    Hi Matt
I second this motion!!! I get it in sd/ntsc about every 45 seconds.
For spot work i survive but in anything longer “clients get real edgy” i notice that rite before the total digital sound it seems to start speeding up. Hopefully this can get resolved cause the product is good otherwise. One other issue i have seen is when the driver is intalled the machine wont shut down by itself.. ie. shuts done then restarts.. the driver seems to get corrupted after about 2 weeks and a uninstall and reinstall gets it going. When uninstalled machine shuts down just fine.

    Hi Guys..
This was something that I also wondered..and i ran some test for my own amusments. Useing a miranda PICO link “svid-sdi” converter, I shot and some blue and green screen “xl-1s” loaded firewire and also through the pico link into a deck-link card. from there it was off to combustion. What I found was the bkg. was easyer to remove from the sdi version but at the cost of fine detail.. ie hair. while agreeing that there is no magic way to replace missing data. I now always use the miranda for dv transfer.. since most of the footage I use is ntsc D-beta.
    also
the other Ray K “original poster” was first to the name, so I guess that makes me the one with the missing bits…
    hope this helped
    regards
