I’m having the same problem using the export to XDCAM function in FCP.
After editing on FCP, I export the clip to Sony PDW-U1 via the file>export>Sony XDCAM Browser.
Immediately the Sony XDCAM Browser Exporter window appear with Headers “FILE”, “DESTINATION” and “STATUS”.
The status shows exporting in %, but once it reaches 100%, it just stay there for a very long time. Nothing happen after that. I can’t eject the disc from PDW-U1. Finder hang when I want to view the disc content.
Shutdown everything, restart the whole process, still stop at 100%. Change to another disc, also the same.
Please help.
Here are the software’s I installed for XDCAM.
1. XDCAM Browser V2.1
2. FAM Driver V2.3.2
3. XDCAM Drive Software (VFAM)I’m using Mac OS X 10.7.5, FCP Version 7.0.3

I’m having the same problem as above.
After going through hours of experiment,
FINALLY, I said FINALLY, I manage to ingest footage from my camera to FCP.
I’m using
A – External Drive (mine is Maxtor One Touch III with 2 x 400 FireWire port… any drive will do provide they
2 x 400 FireWire port)
B – iMac 27-inch, Mid 2011 (Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5)
C – 6-Pin FireWire 400 to 6-Pin FireWire 400 cable (by “not sure”… I guess any brands will do)
D – Sony HDV V1U
E – 4-Pin (iLink) to 6-Pin FireWire 400 cable (by APPLE… not sure other brands… I never try).
Here is what I do…
I connect “A” to “B” using “C” into one of the 400 FireWire port. Then I connect “D” to “A” using “E” into the other 400 FireWire port.
Viola!!! FCP recognize my camera.
By the way I’m using FCP 7.0.3
Hope this help…. Thanks

I’ve found that in my case the problem was the “Evening Sun.ofp” preset found in
/Optical Flares Presets/Lens Flares/Light/After deleting it, the option panel works.
