You didn’t just recently upgrade to OS 10.4.9 did you?
10.4.9 and FCP 4.5 don’t play well together.
I did that and it really messed me up on capturing.
I figured out (from this forum) that the fix was to hide the FCP Documents folder (Capture scratch) from Spotlight. in the spotlight system preference pane, click on privacy and add your FCP documents foler. The problem was fixed for me after that.

If you didn’t upgrade to 10.4.9 then please disregard.

It also does 1080P 24pA.
I would really like to see some sample video clips from that camera showing what all of the settings look like.
I am renting this camera soon and would like to have some idea how it looks.

I am considering the Dell 2405 also.
So I would also like to hear if these dropped frame problems are a monitor issue or a graphics card/set up issue.
It looks like a lot of people are using the Dell 2405 with FCP with no problems.

Actually, I am debating between the Dell and the Acer AL2416Wd.
The Acer has less bells and whistles but has a response time of 6ms, compared to the Dell’s 12ms
with the same brightness and contrast ratio of the Dell.
The Acer has a DVI-D instead of a DVI-I connection but that shouldn’t really be a problem.
Just a matter of using a different cable, from what I understand.

An LCD Display doesnt really have a refresh rate, does it?
Isn’t the response time the comparable measurement to refresh rate in an LCD?
I think the article that you referd to is talking about CRT monitors.
