    Hi

well the speakers are completely off when you set the system to asio…I’m monitoring with headphones plugged into he mixer…the audio returns from the timeline to the mixer via firewire – this is the only connection..

phonic forum looks real weak, submitted a ticket…optimistic as to whether I get a response…

    thanks

Hey thanks for the suggestions…another program was my next step, but I don’t think that is the problem..maybe my sound card cp, and checking out the phonic site are the way to go next – THANKS !

I just used virtual dub and got the file down from 2gig to 1.4 based on video direct stream copy and audio – process – MP3 @ 48k, 160, stereo…So not to be kurt but messin’ with the mp3 reduces the file size dramatically and assures compatibility with divx/dvd players…

    thanks

    Hi

appreciate your input but sorry I don’t really agree with it. There has never been any good support for this with Vegas – only work arounds and it makes no sense because you can encode MP3 at higher bit rates as an mp3 file, but then when you want to put it into the avi container it doesn’t work ?????

If you can recommend a codec that will work with divx players that is not as large as pcm then I’m all ears. Reinstalling will do nothing, and installing FFDSHOW has never effected my systems over the years..
This problem is definetly exclusive to Vegas. I did get high bit mp3 working with the fraunhofer codec and xp64 bit but doing extensive reading it doesn’t look promising in win7

spent a lot of money on a new quad core, win 7 and vegas 10..hoping it would actually work – mp3 is not some esoteric codec…it should work…looks like a mux in VDub is the extra step work around.,..

    cheers
