    Well, budgeting is a problem so when we saw an open box FCP Pro7 Academic for $350 it sparked interest.

    Thanks. I teach video production and we have been using PC’s and Sony Vegas to edit, but as we are now upgrading we thought that we would be on board with the majority of creative people and switch to Macs and FCP. Hence the question.

    Well that part I already knew. My question was what is the difference between the 2 programs?
