    Hi All,

Sony Rep gave me a call today and they’re still working on the problem at hand. At least I know they’re not letting me hang. They will be coming out with an updated version of SonisStage, til then, I’ll have to wait for the update.

    Thanks for your response.

  • Hello Margie,

I have just purchased an Epson R1800 printer for the same reason. I decided to spend a little more and get great quality. So far I’m pleased with it. Check it out at B&H Photo in New York City. I do business with them all the time.
    Best of luck!

    Hi Marc,

I use 720 x 480 jpeg even though png is recommended. You shouldn’t go over 1440 x 1080. All my photo montages are in jpeg and they work find in Vegas. I’m going to use the higher resolu
tion next time to see if there’s a diiference. When I tried to change jpeg over to png, it takes to long for the computer to convert over to png, especially when your dealing with over 100 images.

    Good Luck!

  • Hi Kathlyn Lindeboom & Eric,

I like to check out profiles to see where the person is from and the system their using. I’ve noticed that you have no way to close that profile window and resume to the next response. You have to go back to the postings. I was wondering if your aware of this.

    Hi William,

Alienware is good, Dell, Boxx, Sager or you can have one built. See http://www.videoguys.com for their write up.
Remember, correct me if I’m wrong, but Vegas relies on processor speed and not neccessary to have an expensive videocard.

    Hi Gary,

I’m also looking for a laptop because I’m tired of my P3 Dell XPS not performing the way I want it to. I really had no intentions of video editing at the time. Now I’m into it pretty heavy. I received some great information from friend Ed and great Vegas users. I believe you would want a fast processor since Vegas relies on processor speed. Check out “Upgrading” on May 8, 2005. Thids is all about laptops.
    Happy Shopping!
