    Hi George,

I don’t know what exactly your trying to do but, have you tried to flatten the picture or document. You mentioned it having different layers and if you flatten it, it will combine everthing into one then bring it into Vegas. It’s worth a try.

June 6, 2011 at 6:12 pm in reply to: CD/DVD printer

    Hi Vegas Users,

I appreciate everyones comments and suggestions for the CD/DVD printer. That’s why we’re all here at CreativeCow to help each other. CreativeCow is a great educational resource. After taking in all that was said and B&H reviews, I’m leaning towards the Epson Artisan 50 even though the Epson 1400 is a better printer for prints. Remember, I strictly using the printer for CD/DVD’s and very rarely use it for color printing pages (not pictures). Also taking into account the price on cartridges. The Epson 50 is a little cheaper than the Epson 1400 and when your talking the life of the printer, that’s money in my pocket or another new printer since they only last 4-5 years. Now, I’m not trying to be cheap or anything, I just can’t stand paying a lot of money for a real good quality printer and it’s only going to last 5 years.
Check out my web site July 1, 2011 for viewing pictures from Peru. I’m at the Yagua tribe learning how to use a blow gun with the natives and see a pink dolphin in the Amazon River.
    Thanks Everyone

    Hi Mike,

Nice Blog you have about NAB 2011. I try to attend NAB every year if I’m not traveling. NAB is certainly the all stop & shop under one roof. As you stated, you can take classes, learn what you need to learn, move on and make the best of your time. There’s tons of exhibits to see and demonstrations going on. Have yourself a great year and hope to see you at NAB 2012 or Maxx Digital/Creative Cow party at the Hard Rock.

    John,

I do have to say, this years Sony-VASST Event was one of the better ones. What really impressed me were the different guest speakers using Sony Vegas Pro in their line of work and seeing the results.

  • Hi Ronald,

Tell Kathlyn that I still have the bottle of hot sauce and Creative Cow mouse pad that she gave me at NAB roughly 3 or 4 years ago because I knew the password, “Mooooo!” LOL
    Hope to see you there.

  • Bob and Tim,

It sounds like I’ll be very busy the 2 days that I’m there. Bob, after the 1st day I will certainly need a beer at Hard Rock. I can’t forget to mention Happy 10th Birthday to the Creative Cow. Ron Lindeboom, you should listen to Kathlyn “Mama Cow” more often and we’re all glad you stuck with it. Read the article in the Creative Cow magazine that I received today, the March/April 2011 issue and you would understand what I’m saying. Excellent write up Tim.
That calls for a Moooooooo! See you at the party.
If you see me, ask me what my next adventure will be in travel.

    Happy Travels,

  • Hi David,

What are others looking at specifically?

I specifically look for new gear that I can use for travel, talk to the exhibitors in the music area, attend the Sony, Canon exhibits to name a few. I’m in search for some new camera gear so I stop at the B&H booth to get ideas, play with the new cameras and ask questions. Just getting ideas in what I can use to make my editing workflow easier along with networking myself. Bob Zelin announced a party is taken place at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, location the center bar sponsered by Maxx Digital, Hitachi, and ATTO Technology. The annual “drink for free” party at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas on Monday 4/11/2011 after 8pm.

If you see me at NAB or the party, ask me about my new adventure in travel.

    Hope to see you there.

    Hi Ash,

I have a thought: You can try placing a fan in front of the computer and turn it on to cool everything down inside. Just a thought.
