    BTW one thing which is cool about this app, is that you can calculate the storage bandwidth requirements for playing multiple codecs in parallel. Not sure if this is advertised or the guys at eSpace designed it to work like this, but this is good for when I need to figure out calculations like this.

    For example if you wanted to confirm the storage bandwidth required to play the following streams in parallel,

    12 streams of Pro Res Proxy, HD, 24 frames
    12 streams of Pro Res HQ, HD, 24frames
    2 streams of DPX 10bit RGB, UHD, 24frames

    The answer is 1.8362 GB/s which is the at the bottom of the app or 1880.2 MB/s (1.8362*1024)

    Tab 1

    Choose codec Pro Res Proxy, HD, 24 frames
    Press the “SEC” button and enter 12
    Then press “MB” button
    Total = 58.7MB/s

    Tab 2

    Choose codec Pro Res HQ, HD, 24 frames
    Press the “SEC” button and enter 12
    Then press “MB” button
    Total = 265.5MB/s

    Tab 3

    Choose codec DPX 12Bit, UHD, 24 frames
    Press the “SEC” button and enter 2
    Then press “MB” button
    Total = 1556MB/s

    can be found here too https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/espace/id1150396161?mt=8 – its great app and free makes it a bonus, I am just waiting on the android version

  • BTW as a work around once you have selected you codec go back to the main page choose ‘SEC’ at the top and enter the value 1 and the selected ‘MB’ and you will get the MB value for one second

  • Agreed, message them and ask for an update, I already sent in three requests and they said they one of my requests is valid and next version they will add it.

    Looks like they are happy to keep it up to date

    Why do you need to convert to MB/s for your own maths?

    However I do like the custom date rate option where you can enter your own custom data rate in MB or Mb

    Why the re wrap? which version of MC are you using you can bring in the mp4 native and then transcode

  • in the bin right click on the clips > source settings

    from there you can see the color management settings where you can remove any LUTS, but it sounds to me like you have baked in the color look in to the file, which means you cannot remove it.

    yes under generator > subcap

    drag that on the area you want to subcap > open up the effects editors

    in the effects editor enter you text in the “caption text” box, you will now see the text on the output window.

    then use the text appearance area in the effects editor to adjust size and location

  • yes same as source would be best and this will export the file to a quicktime wrapper file with your source codec, this also depends on your source codec what is it?

  • im running 8.4 on mac and when i go to columns I can see all the S3D columns and add them to my bin, all works are normal if I create as S3D group. I am in 1080p25 and my media is imported not linked

    when relinking a sequence back to the original AMA QT files, i always find it useful to place all the AMA clips and the sequence you want to relink all in the same bin and then close all other bins. Then select the sequence > right click > relink and go through your relink parameters
