My advice is to shoot on DVCPro50 codec. It gives you double storage with best results for Broadcast SD.

before all trash prefenences of final cut, don’t open FCP before upgrades.

This has nothing to do with ram, guys.
I think it’s the camera software. I tried the same settings, you are using with my SPX 800 P2 camera. No problems.
I also think the files are not wrong in the first place, because they look okay in the cam. It’s the first transfer, which causes problems. On top of that DVC Pro 25 and 50 are native codecs with final cut, so they are first choice.
What happens to files in different formats? Let’s say 50i, no 25p, DV codec, which is te same than DVCPRO25, no cinegamma.
If I have got time I’ll phone you tomorrow.

I’ve no problems with FCP 5:0.4 and 10.4.5.
