I’m experiencing an error message within Final Cut Pro. I have FCP 5.0.4
using a G5 (OS 10.4.5) dual 2GB processor, 1GB RAM. No matter what i’m doing in FCP, the message is “error: out of memory”. Sequence becomes no longer viewable when trying to scrub or play in timeline, but I can export the sequence as a quicktime. I can no longer open the sequence to finish editing..

Other editors here haven’t experienced the out of memory error message and their programs are over 30 minutes, mine is only 3 minutes. PLEASE HELP!!!

    Hi
One of your movie clips or still images in the sequence has become corrupted.

Check everything one at a time in the Finder with QuickTime Player or Preview, and see if any of them don’t open properly.
