You have lots of options for good deinterlacing, inside FC (Re_Vision FieldsKit –the best available in a Mac_ and Natress), or out of FC (Compressor, Jess Deinterlacer -free).
Then, conform to p24 in CinemaTools.

Bit contradictory. You say that the HARRI not allow native QT, then you say that accept it when the “prepare for streaming” was checked.Anyway, you can try rewraping the XDCAM-422HD as MFX. The HARRIS might like the files.

Or better:
Edit in native DV, and when you have everything ready to export, change the sequence setting by Prores and set “Render in High Precision”.
Avoid exporting to DV (recompression) and then converting somewhere else to Pores.

What kind of “low resolution version’ are you trying?
If you are trying an H264, don’t make a multipass.

By any chance is your default sequence (Preset sequence) different than DV NTSC?
If so, try to set the preset sequence DV NTSC, open a new sequence and try there.

When capturing DV through FW, there is not other choice.
48Khz/16b is what is recorded on tape, streamed through FW and recorded on the computer.

I guess you are using FireWire, don’t you?
MiniDV recors 16b/48Khz and that is what you should be getting through FW.Any way, the bit depth and sampling frequency shouldn’t produce any audio drift.
To which kind of HD are you capturing?
USB for any chance?
