No problem.
Even in FCP.7 both footages can work together.

I agree with you Shane, but I would add that to master something like MagicBullet Looks, the knowledge of a professional colorist are needed. Also that those plugins are thought to be used only after a proper Primary CC.

Right but also because the codec of the footage. FCE only works native with DV or AIC stuff. That shouldn’t be like that. Obviously the render files should match the sequence settings.

In Preferences > Encoding.Compressor has a Preset for “Best Quality 120 minutes DVD”.
That has 5Mbps data rate.
If you want to make a 4 hours DVD, you need to reduce the data-rate to some 2.5Mbps.
That will make a real crap of DVD.
If you want to keep a minimum of quality, or you use a Double-layer disk, or you use two disks.

You do not slow down that by stuff changing the speed in FC.
If you put the 120fps on a 30fps sequence, first of all, 3 of every 4 frames will be dropped.
Then if you slow it down, new frames will be created.
That’s a crap of process that will damage the picture and will make a bad slow mo.You need to CONFORM the footage in CinemaTools to 30fps.
That will make a 30fps movie with the image slow down to a 25% speed, keeping the picture untouched.Work always with duplicated clips.
Once you have conformed a clip to a new time-base, you can’t re-conform back to the original time-base.

In video, the tone is given by the phase (angle) of the vector Chrominance.
You can go from one tone to other “Clockwise” or “Counterclockwise”.
This button set the direction.
