Rendering changes/slips the shots in my sequence
Hi
When I render my sequences a large number of shots in the timeline ‘jump’ by more than a few frames – like whole different shots from the same master clip.
Any ideas to overcome this issue? Help!

how were the clips captured?
i had a situation once when my DVCProHD, which had been “capture-now” from a telecine chain.
there was a corruption in the TC track.
Vision would slip a few frames on EXPORT (not render)out solution was to batch export the clips as QT movies, same settings.
we may have had to fine tune the TC in Modify TC window.
we had a TC burn in on the colour chart to check against.nick

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, looks to be a very similar issue. I stupidly did Capture Now and didn’t split the clips up so they are really quite large.
I was getting slipping on render and export (of sequences).
I used Compressor to transcode each original media file to an Apple ProRes format and reconnected the FCP bin clips to those new files.
Didn’t solve it completely as had to slip and slide many clips and edits to get them back to what I originally cut. But at least the render/export behaviour is now sorted and functioning as expected.
Lesson learnt.
Hate working with tape these days and, being so rare, you forget some of these little gotchas.
