I have downloaded the driver, but when I use 720p25 setup seem that Kona 3 import from 1200 panasonic on 1080i50 and then downconvert on 720p25.
When I try that… setup the kona panel, on FCP5 I see the image with green disturb… I can see correct only when I use 1080i50…

    Thanks Bob,
after reading all the message I have decide to go on Kona 3 + box + IO but not the full, just the LA, because I will need analog input just for the few work that we are still doing on Betacam SP and on the next semester, we will buy a new macpro 3 with another Kona 3 plus the D10 AVA hd converter.
I will place the order now… (I have find markerter, more cheaper of BH for kona3 and I have talk to the gay that can send me today).
    Last question.
ON the end of this year my facility will be completing migrating on array fiber channel disk sistem of Apple (14 terabyte).. but till this moment i am looking for have an affordable disk sistem (not real expansive because we will use just for 3 months) to work on HD and sd uncompress.
with dvc100 pro I have no problem whit the 4 1 tera byte firewire 800 that we have (3 lacie biggest and 1 maxtor).
But for uncompress I know that will be a low frame rate.
so I am loking for the new LaCie Biggest S2S with PCI-Express Card (2.5 or 1.25 Tera) or I have see one advertising here regarding Cal digit S2VR HD or the pro version. or I have check for FirmTek solutions (4 or 2 bay) whit the express card for macbook pro and for quad and g5 2.7. I have talk with the firmtek in california but they have not ready yet the 4 bay so they suggest me to buy 2 2bay and wark with 4 hd on raid 0 (around 220 mega)
La cie I can buy even on Italy (almost same price that here in USA) the other two solution are whort here.
    Anyone can give some suggestion?
thank you again for time and patience
    Andrea

    Thanks for suggestion…
In my company I already have a mac quad. and on the next semester will buy a new mac pro.
    My problem was for now.
Actualy we use both mac (g5 2.7 and quad) for the hd workflow (HDV and DVC100pro), and for the analog sd workflow we use and old digisuite le on pc.
As we want eliminate the digisuite le (I have speed razor, no more update etc..) we are looking for a solution that can be usefull for both workflow; componet sd and sdi HD (right now we have 2 HVX 200 panasonic and 1 Varicam with 1200 record with sdi and firewire board).
So I was looking for a solution that will work for HD and SD (betacam sd component)
I want update just the Quad, not the G5 2.7.
We are plaining to buy even a Cinealta sony, so I want to be ready to edit all what we shoot.
My second problem is that I am on usa till 21 augusth so I will wanted buy here and bring to me the stuff… I can do even from italy but is a little bit more complicate (more expensive the expedition and long time delivery for duty tax).
So I have talk with the Aja guy and they have tell me to buy or a Kona LHe (they say the the quality is exactly the same of the Kona 3) or buy the kona 3 and the new Kona HD10AVA Analog HD to HD-SDI and SD to SD-SDI Converter with Embedded Audio. that I have understand that is not released yet.
So… I am really confused on what to buy…
    thanks for the help
