    Hi all,
I have a problem importing footage shoted on Varicam Pal.
I have shoot on 720p25 with varicam and use a second camera an HVX200A shot on 720p25.
Now, that i have to import, using a HD1200 panasonic with SDI optional board I can not be hable to set my kona 3 to accept the 720p25 DVCpro hd, seem that is possible only importing on 1080i50… so that will be a little annoying as I have to match two different format…
    Anyone can help me?
    thank
    Andrea

The current builds ( v 3.3) of the driver offer a 720p25 option you will need to show all in the easy set up dialog.

I have downloaded the driver, but when I use 720p25 setup seem that Kona 3 import from 1200 panasonic on 1080i50 and then downconvert on 720p25.
When I try that… setup the kona panel, on FCP5 I see the image with green disturb… I can see correct only when I use 1080i50…

Perhaps the deck is set to cross convert to 1080i? Is the 720p light on in the front of the deck? If not, dig through the menus and find the 720p -> 720p menu and make the the second 720p says 720p and not 1080i. You will have to power cycle the deck to get this setting to stick so be sure to take caution how you are hooked up to your FCP machine.

[qwert000] “When I try that… setup the kona panel, on FCP5 I see the image with green disturb… I can see correct only when I use 1080i50…”

Then your source footage was shot as 1080 or the Deck is converting like Jeremy says.

when you select a clip and do cmd 9 what does it tell you?
