In FCP 5.04 use the following workflow:

Import P2 files to FCP 5.04
Locate quicktime files in scratch disk folder
Use Cinema Tools Reverse Telecine to remove 2:3:3:2 24PA pulldown
Import new pull-down removed files into FCP
Drop new clips into DVCProHD 1080 24fps timeline
Voila! Frame for Frame 24 fps.

Import P2 files to FCP 5.04 then locate the files in your scratch disk ans use Cinema Tools to Reverse Telecine . Then import the new files into FCP they will now play on a 24fps timeline. FCP 5.1 is supposed to remove pulldown automatically.

Only solution so far is to use the ‘Zoom’ feature on the monitor itself!!
