What I have done now is that I imported my crawling text as an asset and inserted it into a stretched out video button. The credit text is 20 seconds long so i checked the animation box in the main menu properties and set the duration for 20 seconds.
I rendered the crawling text so it would crawl in the middle of the window so it would show in the thin videobutton.
But as I said I now have another button in the main menu that takes me to the crawling text clip. It works but it’s not the ultimate solution.
I was thinking of a motion menu but how do I place the window in the right place for the text to crawl in?
What is the workflow for a good result? Thanks

December 26, 2005 at 9:21 pm in reply to: Does Encore have any known issues with LE6.1 AC3 files?Ok guys!
I’m one step closer to solving my problem.
There soemthing fishy about my first play. All I have is a short title that’s been rendered with LE as the other footage. The one thing that’s different with my first play comparing to everything else is that it’s originally made with ULEAD COOL 3d studio and then brought into LE as an animation.
I’ll have to check if I can render my title as a videofile directly from COOL 3d.

August 13, 2005 at 2:07 pm in reply to: encore 1.5 crashes when combining AC3 audio with m2v videoIn the last test yesterday I had rendered the project with uncompresesd pcm audio but encore still crashed just as it had started to write the files. I got the dvd built cause encore continued in the background of the error messages.
What’s the easiest way to get ac3 audio if I render uncompressed audio with Liquid edition?

August 12, 2005 at 12:41 pm in reply to: encore 1.5 crashes when combining AC3 audio with m2v videoDo you have any idea why encore crashes when I have the uncompressed audio file? And only in the end when I have started building the disk.
It has been doing this for quite some time now.
Best regards

August 11, 2005 at 5:48 pm in reply to: encore 1.5 crashes when combining AC3 audio with m2v videoI’ve rendered the project with Pinnacle Liquid Edition 6.1
I have no problem listening to the audio if I have tha AC3 file alone in a timeline.
The bitrate of the ac3 file is 384000 Bits/second 48000 Hz.
I rendered the same project with uncompressed audio file and imported those files to Encore. I had no problem combining the audio with the video then. But as I was building the project encore prompted the same error messages just as it started to write the files…?
Encore crashed but it continued to write the files and I got a DVD image file completed anyway.Very strange if you ask me.

I also would like to know why encore does this. I get the abnormal error message quite often when I import my m2v files rendered with Pinnacle Liquid Edition.
There’s nothing strange about the files. It’s an m2v file and an audio file. Importing is usually know problem but when I create a timeline from that file it promptes the abnormal error message, or when I want to do some sort of transcoding or building of the DVD.
In the last project I worked on I bearly could burn the dvd because encore repeatedly “crashed”. When I finally got encore to start burning the project it in the end still prompted the abnormal error message but the burner was already done. I have no problem watching that DVD in any player so I don’t know what the error could have been.

Aahhh… Finally I can relaxe!
Thanks alot for the help!
I read about the interpret footage in encore help but that option was ghosted too when I looked at it first. I had to revert the DV AVI file to original before I could change the setting. After that I thought I was in trouble again because the sound and video was all jerky… But I erased everything except my menu and started all over again by importing the DV AVI file as an asset and conformed it as widescreen and put the chapters where they were suppoed to be and then built the project.
It all ended up fine after all the hard work (for just a 30 minute PR movie).
Thanks again for the help!

I’m sorry if I haven’t been clear enough.
I’ll try again =)
I started out by encodeing my project in MSP 7.3 as an MPEG file in widescreen. Encore imported the file without no problems as 16:9. But encore froze the video for about 15 seconds after about 4 minutes. Then I rerendered the MPEG file in MSP 7.3 and the “freeze point” moved 10 seconds backwards in the timeline (still freezing about 15 seconds with audio going on in the background).
Then I did as you suggested. I rendered my project all over again but this time as PAL DV 16:9. As far as I can see the video works out fine in encore (no freeze) but as I imported my DV file as an asset, encore changed the aspect ratio to 4:3 although it should be in 16:9 as the rendered AVI file is when viewed in mediaplayer.

Hi again!
I noticed that restream made a second file in the transcode folder. I still don’t know what to do with the file though. I tried to delete the original file and rename the restreamed file with the exact same name but it still doesn’t work out for me =(
