As of today CS3 Premiere Pro does support the P2 workflow. I’m not sure about After Effects but here is a tutorial on the Adobe P2 workflow…..

    from the PPro CS3 forum:

It doesn’t show up on the Downloads/Updates part of Adobe.com, but use the “Update” option under any CS3 program’s Help menu, and it’ll show. Just downloaded and installed. Works fantastically well.

And just to consolidate this thread, here’s a workflow tutorial…..

Is there a hardware converter solution for this 29.97 to 23.976 (digibeta to HDCam deck)? and how does the quality measure vs the software solution? Does Terenex do a frame rate conversion? Do you have a post house you could recommend?

And what are the tricks going the other way around- 29.97 to 23.976? and then uprezing to HD? Should I do the interlaced to progressive first and then separately uprez? Or all at once, together?

Are there any definitive articles or tests on the different encoders? A google search didn’t provide much.

Also this specific project is for streaming in conjunction with syncVue, a multi user online video reviewing/spotting tool (used with Skype), so 6mb’s data rate might be too much.

    Thanks Pierre,
I’ve been doing some experimenting with After Effects, and Virtual Dub. I’ve read some good things about FieldsKit so I’m gonna try it. And then Magic Bullet….

I understand the import/ export/ batch/ script process, but to incrementally grow the fresco filter (animate), can scripting do that? I was under the impression that it would apply the same setting to each frame….

So if I want to animate the photoshop filter> artistic> fresco so that a still grows into a fresco, i have to make the frames individually in photoshop, and then import the sequence to AE?
