    You don’t install RE:Map for 3DS Max
You install it for AE or Fusion or Nuke…

The instructions are for exporting a UV pass out of mental ray (making it visible in Max UI)

I thought I did, don’t know where my post went

Again: You need to use the path
    C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2014\NVIDIA\…
    instead

Somewhere there is a FPS difference between how FCP interprets footage in and what Twixtor is asked to render

Can you verify from around 0:45 in this tutorial if you are doing this properly – you need to set this to there is no frame duplication (or skipping) performed by FCP —

If you apply the Color correction to the reference track, you need to nest it because effects on another track are not applied otherwise when you reference it.

In Premiere one way to do it is to select the Clip in the Project Bin, right click and choose New Sequence From Clip. Apply effect there and drop that sequence in your main edit timeline – and use that as reference track instead.

  • With RSMB you can connect a roto node to |FG matte| in RSMB, turn off then Main BG Amount to 0.0
For Nuke roto node you might need to connect it to the input as well so it has the right size (it defaults to project size). This will have the foreground blurred (spilling over the background where there is motion).

If you are talking about masking the output, you need to use a Merge operator with the original No Motion Blur and Motion Blur node as input
