    Thanks for the challenge…

I am looking at the first one you sent (boat on water)

Here’s a sample result I snapped out to see,
    http://www.revisioneffects.com/bugreports/rvfx.mov
you might like theirs best or this one. I think theirs is a bit oversharpen (but it looks like the video source itself has some sort of incamera enhancement), I could push that too.

However I need combination of SmoothKit and DE:Noise and good eyes to make it as good or better. FieldsKit by itself
is struggling on this shot (good one) to remove deinterlacing jaggies without creating extra softness, if you play with SmoothVertically say 2.0 versus 0.0, and then use the embedded sharpen you will see FieldsKit screwsups a bit, it’s in part I think it’s because we use internally luminance comparisons and in this case blue is only 0.12 of the luminance for us here…something for me to play with, something for me to play with I guess.

It requires that both the main input and the second source be the same size right now. If you are in AE and the two inputs are not the same size, do a precomp for the second one and drop that comp into the RE:Flex comp

Actually I presume they use the frame mode in source mode to slide the frames to where audio and mounth start open when he signs match. For example you could use a marker to mark wherever the start signing cue is and then put a Twixtor Frames param Keyframe there and then you play with the curves from there. As long as it starts signing at the right place (you have lip-synch at that point, probably no one will notice)

    Try FieldsKit 2

The deinterlacer has 2 different optical flow based field merging modes

For font size, if you use Firefox for example, View menu-> Text Size -> Increase ++

    For additional info:
    https://revisionfx.com/products/twixtor/support/
If you press on the tab that says AE, Premiere, FCP… there are sample projects and basics intro

    For the future:
Some aspects of Twixtor doc could be better, I agree. It does not help that we interleave every 10 lines in this app do this while in this one don’t do it…
Actually we have started to play / try to document really specific subject visually and in a more step by step process
    eg: https://revisionfx.com/products/smoothkit/support/
and I hope we will get to Twixtor this year.
