Sorry about the delay with my answer, this is indeed a very old topic.

I don’t know if the issue with the analog audio output has been corrected by BMD since I do not use them anymore. I connect my UltraStudio SDI Out to my Flanders Scientific monitor which de-embed the digital audio signal and send it to it’s 1/8 stereo out which I send to my mixing console for audio monitoring purposes only.

  • I found out something else very important. Since I am French Canadian I write text with accents. Bridge don’t like accents. It won’t find anything with accents even though you search the same word with an accent.

  • Save it is! I need to save the project for XMP to update the file. Thanks Alex.

  • I tried to use “Log Comment” Dialog box. Since it can be found both in XMP from Premiere and in Adobe Bridge. Bridge don’t find it. If I reverse the operation, meaning I write a Log Comment in Bridge (of course bridge can now find it), bring that clip in Premiere and check the XMP the comment from Bridge is there.

Seems to me that Premiere lets you think that it writes to XMP but actually it’s not.

  • Thanks Alex for you answer. I link PPro comment box to XMP so they both carry the info I need. I work with .mov files too. So it should work but Bridge don’t find anything. Is Bridge able “look” at the XMP in .mov files?

Since I updated Premiere CS6 to 6.0.4, the source clip (in the source window) zoom in each time I mark an in or out point. I have to drag the little grey bar to zoom back the entire clip in view.

I tried changing keyboard shortcuts to default Premiere CS6 and others but it’s doing the same thing.

What’s up? Am I the only one with this behavior?

My problem is probably not with the XLR breakout cable since the noise is also present with the consumer breakout cable. I asked BMD tech support directly but didn’t received an answer.

Another user on BMD’s user forum have been told that this is a hardware problem and that it would be addressed in a firmware update. Eventually. I hope so.

Thank you all for your answers. I will prepare my own presets then. But is there a reason why Adobe didn’t include them in the first place?

Thanks Chris. You mean the breakout cable that comes with the device?

  • Well they don’t.
