    Ahh..

    OK.. a bit of background…

I am using footage that has been shot in our LA studio. Its already been keyed and exported as FLV. (www.buzzluck.com for an example!)

Basically i have about 30 flv files, pre-keyed, that i am trying to create adverts / video Faq’s with!

The biggest problem is the cost / time getting the original footage from our designers, out of Flex, onto a few hard-drives (pure HD footage!) and over to us! Looks like i may have to do that though!

Thats the way i always do it actually..

Precomp the 6 sides using place holders…

then make a new composition, using the null layer to get the general motion right…

then insert the vid files one by one using low quality render..

another tip is to random rotate the video clips +90 +180 -90 0 on the faces as well, so you get a bit of variety, as the clip lands the right way up when the cube rotates and zooms to the screen.

Stunning effect Yikesmikes! Thank you very very much! It is almost exactly what i was looking for. I adjusted just a couple of things.. I set the Scribble > edge Options > Start / End apply to Mask path to make the reveal follow the path, and an now going to create a “rag” in photoshop to move with a copy of the same mask!

That will give me a “window Cleaning” effect. And the tip with the fog up was a great idea as well.. I have set the image to fog up, and then clear it away after a few seconds. I hope that the client likes it!

As soon as I get the go-ahead and release, I will post up a copy of the rendered animation, as well as the AEP so that someone else can have a try if they need to ! Hey.. if I get time over Xmas, i may even create a Tutorial 🙂

Once again Thanks to all that replied.. And have a great Xmas, and look forward to being able to help you guys maybe in 2007!

    Greetings Form Malta..
