I guess that explains this problem:
1.put a stroke on a highlight for a button in Photoshop.
2.go back to encore2 and it’s a color blob.
I hope david posts his tutorial, if it fixes this problem I am all eyes…

I don’t see one, looking at timeline right now, I know for menus u don’t get any controls…but the best thing to do inmo is to have Audition open to normalize all your sound clips based on zero dB. I am putting together a music/video sampler menu right now for our studio, and that’s what we are doing. Now, if I could only figure out how to get video inside a button….

Strange, I created a highlight that changes the color, and not sure how I did that, but my problem there is that I replaced the highlight layer in photoshop with a PNG-8 graphic of a red fireball, and now back in Encore land there is a red ball (no pixel definition) and the highlight (roll over) turns the TEXT to red as well. I sure wish I knew how to control these buttons, the styles palette in the lower right of Encore is insane!

As for your solution, I can’t say I understand a word?!? Layer the menus somehow? Or autoactivate a whole new one? please say more…

pretty sure you can do that in BorisRedGL for ppro1.5. At least the plugin is stable!

great answer! thanks for that. do u know the dif betwwen prm and aex plugin extension? is one for premiere and the other a shared type between after effects and ppro?

also, it seems older plugins don’t know where to install properly in premiere 1.5.1. so i select the dir /plug-ins/us-en and sometimes they work and some don’t. is it a dir problem or just an incompatibility when they don’t show up in the effects folder?

I was so frustrated trying to make DVDs from PPRO 1.5 I went and got CanopusProcoder2, comes with wizards that select bitrates based on size and output format, plus has a batcher so you can easily try lots of dif settings to see which one is best. I am not sitting in front of PPRO now, but I remember there was an export to DVD, which allows you to select DVD folder, and it creates the VOBS for you, not sure what settings it uses. I did this before procoderdays and then used Encore for fair results. But ProCoder is quality export software. The rub with that is that it may be dying…there is no support for PPRO2 as of yet, and rumors there never will be. Good luck,

Okay, I figured out the timeline plugin, it does output on the composite/svideo ports of the capture card, and running that into one cam, I can see the results on the display (I guess I should get a real monitor someday, but I already have 3 LCD displays on my desk). So this does what for me – gives me the ability to see renders almost realtime (it’s really fast) of complicated effects without waiting for a premiere render (so so slow). Is that about right? I mean ya can’t capture that render as a clip; it’s going to the camera anyway, but that would be dumb yes, as it’s going to the cam in analog right? Okay, I’ll stop thinking so much. At least I think I found a use for this card besides the obvious and seldom capture of analog sources, which I think I could have done with my camera anyway. So this is just a render card for premiere 1.5, and not much else. It would be nice if I could get this to work in AE, but I doubt there is a chance of that unless the plugin API is the same….

Thanks Tim, but Geoforce is about as big as it gets in this country, I’ll look into importing something better…but in the meantime, can u (or anyone) parse this readme from the Snazzi plugin, it seems it does a render from the timeline to a TV (either from composite or svideo outs I guess), I just can’t figure it out. If this is true, I guess I could route the signal to one of my cam monitors as input…I think I did that once to tape a tv show once…

Anyway, the plugin does do a render in 1/10 the time then premiere does it, now I just need to see where it’s going!

As for this statement: isn’t designed for Open GL support for After Effects and GPU effects in Ppro,can u translate to dumbo language? I know what each term means (and I thought GeoForce’s new driver supported OpenGL) but I can’t parse the sentance.
