  • Hello.
    My problem is similar.
I previously created by \ " AVID media composer quticktimereferenzen ".
Then I exported the movie with " Adobe media encoder "( CS4 ).
I converted the references in mpg's or other formats. Relationships with new site (bsw. 320 * 240).
It went very quickly and was very handy.
But suddenly reads " Adobe media encoder "quicktime references to" no longer. The preview window is black.
All other programs (including AE CS4 ) Show and process the movies without problems.
Somebody has an idea about this?

    Cheers,
    Pw

    Hi Adolfo,
i am running cs4 at the new dell t7500 with 2 Prozessors, and 12GB Ram.

But AE is incredibal slow. My Old Notebook M90 with Dual Core and 4 GB Ram is much, much faster.

To get out a 5 Minutes quicktime referenze (avid-dv codec) as a mpg, after effects need up of 30 minutes (without multiprozessing and using only 30% ram). If i enable multiprocessing the machine need up of one hour.
The same work, with the same harddrives (external) my notebook needs 5 minutes only.

I have tryed a lot (two weeks)settings in the presets (cache, multiproccing, ram) but without any access.

Good idea would be great – and helpful of corce ;).
