June 23, 2011 at 1:55 am in reply to: One Sequence Per Project?

I see it more as someone pushing me to do everything there way.
I can’t think of any project that I’ve done in the past that could work in the new system of editing. I need lots of sequences for many projects. I live in Belgium and everything we do here (corporate commercial,…) must be in different languages because of Frenh (south of Belgium) Dutch (north) and English and sometimes German.

I like FCP7 as it was/is, It just needed the speed bump we all had been waiting for and a few new features. It didn’t have to reinvent editing.

The camera has it regularly (have it one week).

I going back to the store today to let sony examine the issue and update the firmware.

The firmware is 1.02 and i have been told that only sony can update from version (1.02 – 1.04)

I’ll keep you posted on the outcome.

luckily I added the 2+2 year warranty to the product so it shouldn’t cost me extra.

    Hi,

Did you find a solution to this problem ?
I bought an ex-demo ex3 and have the same green flickerings.

    Thanx in advance.

    Thanks for the fast response.

I think I will go for the xdcam ex1 –> hdmi –> intensity pro option.

Wich codec would be best ?
    prores 422 HQ 1920×1080 ?

It would be best that the codec will alow me to render the video fast.
Keying would be done in AE cs4 (using key light).
Or would the quality of the image (good lighting of screen and subject) allow me to use keying in fcp?

    my system specs:
    Macpro 1.1
    2x3Ghz xeon (quad)
    11 GB Ram

  • Hi John

    Thanks for the info.
I re-installed FCPs yesterday and now I can see/hear all the files in STP.
It probably was an installation error durring the install of the audio content.

  • It seems like soundtrack pro can only find items in the library thar have the caf extention and not the files ending with .aiff .

I have put an illustration on my dropbox LINK BELOW

    Macpro quad 2x 3ghz (2007) | 11GB RAM |
    sony HVR-Z1 | FCPS 1 | adobe CS4 |

  • I just saw that there is only a caf file found on mac HDD, but no caf.

    Macpro quad 2x 3ghz (2007) | 11GB RAM |
    sony HVR-Z1 | FCPS 1 | adobe CS4 |

  • Hi John

I looked up one of the missing files in soundtrack pro and looked it up on the mac in spotlight.

The file that is missing (red) in STP. is in the following folder (on mac hdd):

    Macintosh HD / Audio / Apple loops / Apple / ilife Sound Effects / Jingles / 44th Street Short.caf.

So the files are on my mac but not active in the STP library.

John if you could look up this file on your system and see if it is in the same place, that would help me out alot.

The file name is: 44th Street Short.caf

    Thanks in advance,

    Philip
