Hi Warren, are you using v 14 of Davinci Resolve with the Tangent? Any anomalies I should be aware of? I appreciate the response.

    Thanks Eric,
You’re right, I like the multi app function of the Tangent especially the way I teach. Between the Micro and the Mini I think I’d go with the mini I have the money and the extra functionality seems a plus. I’m mostly concerned about not knowing how well the Tangent Element kit will continue to work with Resolve over the years. All the demos I’m seeing on line are from 12 or earlier. On the BM forums there seems to be some back and forth about support and finger pointing between BM and Tangent. My funds are limited and unfortunately these funds also have a finite window of when I can use them. So I can’t wait for anything new coming out in the next year it has to be what’s available. Not enough time to do proper research.

I’ll check out the FB group and keep watching here in case someone has a work around. Yes I tried the dropzone idea too. It’s extremely frustrating, relatively speaking.

    Nick,
What exactly is the CurrentVersion.flexolibrary and what are the ramifications with deleting it or replacing it with an older version from a backup?

Based on Ronny’s statement, it seems it would be to simply export and not render in the first place. Then bring this export back into the project.

It’s a bit frustrating knowing that FCPX isn’t rendering QuickTimes “but just pre-calculated references to all instances of the clip” especially when these pre-calculated references take up as much space as a QuickTime file on my hard drive.

  • Hi Tony, My problem went away when I was finally able to turn off the sleep option my editing computer after having admin rights returned to me.

  • Gentlemen,

Thank you for the insight into the compound clip issue. I’ve been battling this for a few days now. I had 30+ compound clips, each with 3-4 clips, some scaled. I’ve broken them all apart and everything seems to be working much better. I’ll update if there is a change in my progress.
