LOL – I know rendering speeds have come a long way – But I want it done now d****it. Anyway thanks for the good advice. A 25% increase in rendering speeds would justify the purchase. It would pay for itself in much less than a year. I am also leary of buying a 1st gen Intel. History shows that it is wise to wait a gen. or two.

Thanks Shane, I had kind of thought that was the answer. Looks like a new mac for me. Not all bad – I guess;-)
