I am considering shooting a feature with the xha1 and have been scouring the posts and was wondering if anyone could help me out with a few questions. I intend to shoot at 24f and with either fcp 5.0.1 or 6 and when I was importing test footage it was very jagged until we set the sequence settings at 29.97 and it smoothed out a bit, but now I’m a little worried about the jaggedness. Can I just go directly into fcp if I’ve shoot at 24f or does the footage require some sort of third party software to smooth the image? A;so, if my setting is at 29.97 in fcp will that cause an issue as far as festival screenings and where the project is going if it’s not going to the web or tv? New with this camera and a little confused how to get and maintain the best possible 24f footage..
any help would be greatly appreciated.
