I did experience this on the HVX200 once. Very low level but a high-pitched noise recorded. We proceeded hoping it was low enough to not be a problem. Research found that it was a phenomenon in this model and will only showed up when recording on slot #1. Fix was to have Panasonic do a firmware update.

Yes, but not often. Had a job several months ago and rented a HPX500 for that. Worked well. This client will likely be using me for PAL again.

My market does have international broadcast clients based here and visiting so I am hoping to be able to capture some of that business. Before I alter my camera I would like to hear from others who may have done this to see if there are any problems and considerations.

    Thank you.

Using the camera is an option for transferring material after the shoot. I need to find a reader to mount, transfer, and clear cards DURING the shoot. This seems like something simple but I can’t find any solutions. Thanks for your feedback.

I’ve been using the Panasonic HVX200 with excellent results. I just saw the post and you may have a solution by now. There are considerations as to mounting positions, changing light/weather conditions, etc. If you use the P2 cards calculate the total time you can record then factor the exposure interval to put the entire event (with pad) onto the cards. You can speed it up more in post. Sample: https://tvmercenary.home.comcast.net/~tvmercenary/news.htm (scroll down to Douglass Bridge)

    good luck,
