According to Mario Orazio in this week’s “TV Technology,” “NTSC [has]a display gamma of 2.2; 625-line SD…assumes 2.8; and BT.709 has been called anything from 2.22 down to 1.92 or so (at least one source says 1.8).”

But, according to Orazio, it’s the luma differences that will really get you.

Thanks for the reply, Jeff! I’ll check out the registry merge.

The XP64 is coming straight off the MS gold disk. My clean install process is to reformat the drive, boot off the MS disk and do a complete install, then a download/install of all the updates. The Adobe load-in was done before installing any other software.

I’ve sent a bug report to Adobe…haven’t had the opportunity yet to talk with tech support.

I’m using an Avid MC Adrenaline (v2.16) and have “Send to” configured to open Encore. I export and encode QT reference files, both PAL and NTSC. No problems so far with programs up to 24 min in length.

The EMP plug needs to be installed before Adrenaline is installed.

The plug apparently only works with 8-bit projects. I’ve also had no luck when trying to use the PAL settings (I’m using 2.1.5) – the Adrenaline box keeps switching back to NTSC.

The plug does work well with NTSC projects in v 2.1.4 and 2.1.5.
