    Just had the same problem in CS6 Encore on Mac OS 9.2.
    After reading some very old and some new posts online I looked at my timeline and noticed that for some reason all my Encore chapter markers – which I had put in in Premiere – had somehow multiplied. So there were now two of the same markers (at least they had the same names and properties). Only they were exactly one frame apart. After deleting all doubles everything worked fine.
