    Hi Josh,

The current version of Premiere Pro CC requires a compute capability of 2.0 which I believe your card does not meet. There’s no way around that to my knowledge.

    Sorry!

November 9, 2016 at 8:06 pm in reply to: duplicates made when importing raw dng sequences

    Hi John,

Currently batch import of dng files is not supported. The best method was posted on the Adobe forums. I’ve also included a video demo of it as well.

    https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1451207 – Post #29

” I have the same problem as you do, but I managed to find a temporary lowtech solution that’s maybe useful for you or for other users.
You can go to the folder where all your rushes are and just search for all the files in that subfolders ending by 00000.dng
This way you will have all the first dng files of every sequence and you can move them directly to your media pool in Premiere, where they will appear as unique sequences of all your dng files.
For me it works like a charm.”

  • Hi All,

For those of you using your iPhone to record video. Filmic Pro just announced an update that could be helpful for this workflow. NOTE: I have not tested this yet.

From the “FiLMiC Pro” Version 5.5 for “iPhone” Release Notes (Nov 11, 2016):

“… v5.5 includes fixes and optimizations to our iOS 10 codebase including the following: —Adobe Premiere and Windows compatibility has been assured. NOTE: This undertaking has required a change of the default audio encoding format from AIFF to PCM. AIFF is still supported in the app but should not be used if the intention is to export to Adobe Premiere or playback on Windows PCs. (Double-check and/or reconfigure your presets to use PCM audio if you plan to use FiLMiC Pro footage in Adobe Premiere and/or on a Windows PC) —Focus reticle refinements ensure accurate, smooth, and crisp focus actuation.”

November 5, 2016 at 8:22 pm in reply to: Media Browser, best practices and workflow?

    Hi Paul,

Jon was pretty much on point with the Media Browsers benefits. The biggest advantage in using the Media Browser, is getting all of the file’s metadata. It simply does not all come through using File>Import.

Larry Jordan has a nice detailed write here:

    Hello Jiri,

Can you try holding down Shift while launching Premiere. You can release the Shift once the splash screen appears. This will force your plugins to reload.

Let us know if that helps or not.

    Hi Justin,

You can change one of the files Source Settings to S-Log and copy the Master Clip effect. Then select all of the files within the project and paste the Master Clip effect to them.

    Does that work for you?

    Hi David,

Interpret footage is not supported yet in the Proxy workflow. You could the Speed/Duration settings or this guy came up with an interesting workaround.

October 27, 2016 at 10:00 pm in reply to: Inconsistent Frames From Smartphone…what?

    Hi Diego,

What others have said is true. Premiere Pro doesn’t handle variable frame rate footage all that well especially on longer duration clips. This is something we would like to address in a future update as more and more mobile devices are being used at a profession level.

Feel free to add a feature request for it here if you’d like: https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html

As Chris mentioned, Handbreak is a good tool. There’s lots of tutorials out there on how to use it. This is one I’ve found in a quick search:

    hi DJ and Jason,

Please see the attached link from the Matrox forum: https://forum.matrox.com/mxo/viewtopic.php?t=14599

“We do not have official drivers for support with Adobe CC2015.3 release however, we have a procedure to copy the plugins manually.”

    Hope this helps!
