Hi this is the first time I have used a facility like this and wondered if this info might help with the use of m2ts type files
I own the Panasonic SD 1 and am very pleased with the result.I have tried out latest Nero 8.Power DVD . Video Studio 11 .But have recently removed these programs and installed Core AVC Codec and the wonderful media splitter Haali Media Splitter. These two programs allow m2t and AVCHD type files to be played back perfectly on the early version of Media Player. Power DVD realy struggled after about 8min of playback.
Editing with Sony Vegas pro 8 will accept m2ts type files and edits perfectly, great program also TMPGenc will work with these files if you install the above codecs,Hope this may be some use I creat my video render as an AVCHD file on Vegas and change file type manualy from m2ts to mpg this can be played easily on the Sony PS3
