    Floh and Michael,

Thank you for the suggestions. Here’s an update: I can export a file for After Effects, but I cannot export a regular XML file. When I go to File>Export>XML it always results in Media 100 quitting and disappearing with no error message whatsoever.

I’ve repaired permissions, all the usual voodoo, created new projects/programs, etc., all with the same effect. It’s the strangest thing I’ve ever seen in Media 100.

Fortunately, I don’t really need to export “regular” XML for Final Cut, since I hardly ever use it. Since the After Effects export works, I’m okay for now. It’s just very strange that it would vanish with no error message.

And… even with this little quirk, I’d still rather use Media 100 than anything else.

I was going to export for After Effects. Tried it twice with the same result. No error message at all, which seemed strange to me. I’ve just never seen it disappear like that before.

    Hi Michael,

I’m using Suite 2.0.1, on the latest version of OS X. Quad core Intel Mac with 16GB RAM.

Exact same thing happened to me. First title worked, the next title crashed it.

Thanks for doing the webinar Floh! Just reading the description of some of the features in the new version, I’m really excited and can’t wait to upgrade.

I went to sign up for the webinar, but it’s tomorrow and I’ll be out of town all day. Is there any chance it will be recorded so I can view it later?

Thank you for posting this, Boris. I just took the survey. This tells me you’re serious about product improvement. Media 100 has always been my favorite and primary editing system and now I know it will get even better. I encourage all Media 100 users to take the survey.

Hey, thank you, Boris, for reading this forum!

Thanks Floh. Yes, I saw the crop tab in controls, but when I clicked on it, everything was blank in the window. The next time I launched Media 100 and Red to try again, I got an error message: “Cannot find prmL resource file… please reinstall.”

So I re-downloaded Media 100, reinstalled, and now I can crop! And, lo and behold, it’s even easier than After Effects. I’d better look into learning Red a little more… so long as I don’t keep getting error messages.
