[Andrew Richards] “acDrive works really well if that is all that is holding you back.”
It’s more that they supply us with Mac-generated Photoshop PSD’s with custom OSX fonts that we drop into the Premiere Pro or FCP timeline. I don’t want to have to convert every graphic to a PC font if I’m going to switch to a HP Z1.

How about buying the new HP Z1 and running it as a Hackintosh?

Yes I guess you are right. Speedgrade looks great. Can’t wait for CS6 to hit the streets.

Will V9 be more integrated with Premiere Pro? If anyone is at the BM stand at NAB, could they ask the question please?

I can’t see if there is better integration with Adobe CS6 on the V9 release.

[Jeremy Garchow] “Relax guys.
He was making a joke about the initial reaction to FCPX in this very forum we are virtually standing in.
When that came out, it was all about how unprofessional it was due to some automated features, like rolling shutter repair. That is all.
He also did the FCPX megatest right when it came out: https://fcpxmegatest.blogspot.com/
He clearly signed his post ****sarcasm off****
It’s OK. It’s a bloodbath in here sometimes.”
Oops. ****red face on****

[Marvin Holdman] “My biggest hope is that Premier would mimic FCP7 in the way that it uses the rendered parts of the timeline to export the media, rather than re-rendering everything on export. This is one of the major drawbacks that I’ve always had with the program. Cumulatively, in a facility, it cost us a lot of time.
So…. does 6 leverage pre-rendered segments on the timeline for exports?”
I do that now in CS5. I just select 10-bit uncompressed as my render format for the sequence, then export with “use previews” enabled when I need high-quality outputs. If you just want fast exports for preview exports, leave the render setting at a lower quality level.
Of course when mastering, I render the whole timeline.

[alban egger] “Premiere is clearly not aimed at the Pro market anymore. I read something like a “rolling shutter filter”. I mean who would ever need something that is only needed for DSLR shooters and those with pre-2012 cameras as such.”
a) You either haven’t read the full feature list of CS6 or…
b) you obviously don’t know that many of us use DSLR’s in support of our commercial and broadcast production or….
c) you’re just trolling.
The new Premiere is clearly aimed at the pro market.

More stability and improvements to Mac operation is my wish.

Thanks guys. It’s a tricky market at the moment. I read on the DVINFO forum about rumours of a new 1080 60P shoulder-cam, but it could be just that; rumours.
