    has anyone resolved this problem

    I get the same error

When I execute “make movie”, it creates the mpg file and the ac3 file of the same name and then opens DVD Architect. Once open, Architect delivers this message:

“Warning: an error occured while opening one or more files. The file is an unsupported format.”

I have go to the file associations in windows and changed the assoc with mpg and ac3 etc. but it still didnt work…

I think I have fixed the problem.. Just filling in info here in case someone else has the same problem.

After much searching and reading, in which I couldnt really find any info to help, I played around with settings.
I found ( in Sony Vegas) under Project and Properties, and in the Video tab, there is a field called Full-resolution rendering quality: that it was set to good. so I set it to best and re-did the video to dvd. This time there was no noticeable combing effects.
I also have the next field ( Deinterlace Method) set to Interpolate fields.

at this stage this seems to have fixed my problem.

    thanks for any help given

Yes that exactly what it looks like. A comb like effect on the edges of objects.
No I used the default interlacing settings ( will have to go find where and what they are.)
I got my files (footage) from my Sony HD AVCHC HandyCam (HDR-SR7) which produces MTS file formats.
imported them into sony vegas. and when finisged editing, used the Make Movie and used Burn it to DVD.

The video looks ok with NO comb effect in Sony Vegas, then choose Sent to Architect. but once it has converted it and viewed in Architect there IS the comb like effect that also is seem on a dvd when produced.

    Thanks heaps for your help

If it is a interlacing problem, can you explain what to change and where. Thanks
