  • Anyone, anyone….

I need get a NTSC DVD done this week and start to feel the pressure.

a.) What would be the way forward to get around the audio drift issue.
b.) Best practice to make the SD NTSC DVD from the sequence settings detailed above.

    Thanks heaps already!

Thanks guys. I did fear this would be the case.
Is there anything to concern if I do the media managing first before this labourous effort? I would like to get wee bit more performance out the machine and was thinking media managing the project at this stage might take the size of the project down thus making the machine perform better.

    Cheers

I converted one of the JVC cam files with MpegStreamclip to AppleProRes with current size and frame rate settings and Quicktime says they are 59.94fps.
I have the Canon 7D footage now as well and it is 23.98fps.

What would be the best workflow to marry these two different formats together?

    Thanks Arnie. Very helpful.

One more thing. I been getting more and more interested in grading and was thinking what would be the top end post-houses in NY to try to get an internship with? If the NY happens for me, it means that I’ve managed to get some grands to support my stay, so I would be pair of extra hands or fresh set of eyes free of charge.
You are from NY right? Knowing the vibe there, would you think this sort of scenario could be even possible to pull out.

    AJA Io.

The deck control runs smoothly, but nothing is been printed on to tape except timecode.

Sorry. I made myself a bit unclear.

    My questions are:
How and in which format you store the elements of your authored DVD?

Plus, What would be the best way to do this if I need to come back and change something from let say chapter 5 in the middle of the DVD?

    Pete thanks,

    Hey folks,

Was there a solution for this issue?

I am experiencing now something similar. I am able to capture from Panasonic D950 deck without issues, but not able to print on to it.

Using FCP, AJA i/o and SDI.
    Any ideas?

    Much appreciated,
    Pete

  • What does the Disk Warrior fix?

I mean the hard drives are working on Macpro, but not on G5 and that’s what bugs me. Sure I’ll try that, but I am thinking the issue might be computer based not particular HD based…

    Thanking you,
    Pete
