Got a couple of 16GB Class 10 cards and they work perfectly with my T2i. Even with good Class 6 cards I had no problems…
I’d rather get two 16GB cards than one 32GB card for similar reasons as Noah. Cards do fail sometimes and if your 32GB cards gets corrupted you’ll lose about 100min. of footage other than 50min. of footage with a failed 16GB card…

One possibility to get at least close to some film-stocks, is to use picture-styles. I sometimes (when not using the technicolor cinestyle for grading in post) use the Kodachrome 25 style…
On the Canon picture style site you’ll find the following quote:
“Selecting a Picture Style just as you would choose a film type.
Six preset Picture Styles are available with EOS DIGITAL.
Create the image you desire from the scenes you see.

At least with any of the Canon DSLRs the 720p mode is next to unusable because you’ll get much aliasing and moiré.

This will be a huge problem, at least with Canon DSLRs, since they’ll record only about 12min. per clip, both 720p or 1080p

No built-in NDs in any DSLR that I know

With any DSLR (not only Canon) external sound will be a must for a “sound-based” project like yours imho.

You can control the focus with the arrow keys on the backside of the camera.
You can even program the focus with the rack-focussing feature 🙂

You’re absolutely right. What I meant is: 1/48 shutterspeed with 24p (which is 23,976 fps).

I don’t want to miss ML for my T2i. Really a cool piece of software!
What I personally like best (next to the ISO thing) is the built-in follw-focus, the focus-peaking, the possibility to see the histogram while recording and the q-scale function that allows to record in higher (or lower) bitrates.
