I THINK I MIGHT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS…. I had that whole directory path issue myself & was really frustrated, but then I came across this video https://vimeo.com/10400913 & realized that there are 2 downloads. A Hardware download AND a Software download from Canon’s Website. I only did the Hardware download. So once I seen this Video I went & downloaded & installed the Software, the Log & Transfer immediately worked!!! Let me know if this helped. Paul
