We have find an soloution to this problem. In fcp7 first import the files separately, vido and all 4 soundtracks. Put all five files on the timeline and now the sound plays?

It is worriying tht this file structure error occured? Could it be an hardware error in the p2 card or in the camera?

I also discovered that the “CLIP” and “ICON” folders are missing in the P2 file structure. When I try to open the files im FCP 7, there is an error message advising med to “repair” the files with media manager?

    Hi,
Thanks for the advice. The problem is that FCP7 wants to render the H.264 files for every change we make, since the sequence format is set to DVCproHD. Perhaps this could be solved by using some of the prorez codecs as the editing format?

we have used the calibrated mxf import plugin(https://www.calibratedsoftware.com/MXFImport_Mac.asp) to play the p2 files in native format.

    Kind regards:

    Hi, ,
    Here is the workflow:

    1. Dvc pro HD video brought in from p2 cards to Cat dv professional.
    2. Material logged and subtitled in Cat dv, with the tool ” verbatim logger” as event markers.

    3) Video sent to finalcut pro from export – “sent to final cut pro”.

    4) The film edited in Final cut pro. Translation made in cat dv can be seen in Final cut as “markers”.

    5) Screening for customers. The client wants to see the film with subtitles, they exist as event markers in Final cut, but cannot be seen when we screen the film.

    Question
    :
How can we export the cat dv verbatim logger eventmarkers, so that we can bring them in as subtitles in Final cut?

    Could we perhaps use “TitleExchange”
    from (<https://www.spherico.de/filmtools/

    Kind regards:Paul

My question was about shutterspeed when shooting PAL.

I guess if if you choose PAL the framer rate will always be 25fps?

In this option ther are lot of possible shutter speed settings, ranging from 1/30, 1/40, 1/10, 1/60, 1/18, 1/100…to 1/2500 and 1/3000. Does it matter wich shutter spedd is used when shooting PAL 25 fps?

I have med som test shoots in PAL with diffrent shutterspeeds in PAL and edited them in PAL. In Finalcut pro.

I canot see any diffrence in PAL shoots in different shutterspeed? They all play well? Or is there a standard also for the shutterspeed settingwhen shooting 25 fps PAL?
