I’m guessing as a student you’re maybe talking about the Tony Scott “look” as much as the editing.
Try Magic Bullet Suite from Red Giant Software.
It’s like a Cinematographer and a grading suite in a box.
As mentioned above, it won’t make up for directorial and editing ability though.
I can’t believe that the name of Tony Scott wasn’t instantly recognised by users of this forum.
Okay he’s made some real stinkers – “Top Gun”, “Days Of Thunder” but he’s workmanlike and did churn out “True Romance”.
That is more unforgiveable than someone starting out asking the initial question…
