    Hi Will,
yaah I know. You are definitely right. I just wanna be absolutely sure, that my A1 will work with it, before I spend 5,000 bucks on new system.
    Thanks for your input,
    Cheers

    Hi Peter,
yes, that is exactly the point, which does not make sense. They are identical cameras for FW, so why A1 is not approved as compatible?

    Hello Don,
thank you so much for your input. I have also played with all those settings in last few days, so it slowly starts to make sense.
    Thanks again

April 23, 2007 at 5:58 pm in reply to: XH A1 LCD display flickers under mixed lighting?

    Hello Don,
first of all thank you for your input. I had bought that camera since my post, so I was kind of worried, that Canons have malfunctioning LCD’s, or something. I had never experienced this effect with my old Sony PD 150 (only problem with inddor light was that common gradual fluctuation from greenish to bluish tint as the bulb changes its temperature). So I am very happy that this flickering effect is nothing uncommon and what you write makes perfect sense..
    Thanks again for your explaination
    Cheers

    Hi guys,
Is that SDI output really necessary? I thought that SDI output is only needed for HD footage. Since this camcorder shoots in HDV, why did they included SDI output?
This my post is not an expertise by any means. I am totally new into this, so it is more a question, not the advise. By the way I am almost reday to buy A1 myself, so is it really that good how everyone says? What about the fact that it does not shoot in 720p mode. Is it a big deal?
    Cheers
