Does this get the S-video IO working as a stand alone converter as advertised or is this feature still MIA?
Can the Multibridge work as a bidirectional converter in Decklink mode?
Thanks

Agreed
You need to be able to select comps to import instead or projects.
However this will not solve using AE to despeck film. Everytime you add a brush stroke to the clip further down the TL, the earlier work will go unrendered in Premiere, which is workflow negative.

I look at it this way.
Here is a list of this that should never have beaten Media Management – bins independant of projects, sequences independant of projects, ability to swap out media with different resolutions and with different properties (like with audio or without)effects clearing to multiple clips, append, add and overwrite effects when pasting, speed and duration change to multiple clips.
Clip notes
DVD authoring
Imbeded title files
Half baked transparent video
GPU effects – how sh1t are they?
Timeline page scrollingAll these thing were lower down my list.

I do this all the time. I just finished a job that’s an awards video with 5 seconds of black between segments. The timeline is 1:14:40 and had 1,500 clips, The real annoying thing is that if you have a clip selected it nudges the clip instead of the CTI (I hate this and the fact that it changed in v2.0).
So same result as Tim, no problem and I never saw one.

Hi Dave
No I’m saying you need to cry more petulantly in order to get this one over the line. I am with you all on this, the problem is that there’s not been enough of us in Adobe’s face about it.
When we see these posts it’s very hard to sit here and say nothing, however as a tester that’s all NDA allows me to do. Did I ask for MM repeatedly – yes. Was I drowned out by “I want to make a DVD from the timeline cause I cant be arsed authoring a DVD” – hell yeah.
Unfortunately I have to take it up the arse over v2.0 because I test, even though I cried petulantly about these issues.
Thanks

Kevin/Norm
Someone has already replied to your posts in details so I wont.
The Storm barely worked in v1.0. The responsability for Storm integration is soley with Canopus and they have moved away from Storm and Premiere. Norm are you using the Storm card in your Premiere 2 system?Kevin: Subclips dont work withj large source – you didn’t say what happens. How can you not clarify this?
Long clips – others are not having this problem so how can you blame the software exclusively? Are you using DV? Does your file format match the project settings?
Kevin: clean install of what? What system? do you have drivers for the GPU in your system or are you using the default Windows drivers?
RPF: do you do this once and then give up? Did you try other formats? What kind of alpha did you use?
The AVI file created, did it have audio embeded? What CODEC did you use, was it a DV AVI?
Sounds like you try something the way you think it should work, dont get what you want and then give up. Have you read the book? Are you sure you know what your doing? A lot of people think they are and so blame the software in the first instance.

This is a funny thing, I have never heard of this before.
Are ya pissed yet?
You actually put the point across well and you are correct.
BTW – transparent video in Premiere has very limited uses – I dont think it works for mose effects (it does for TC burn in).
Pat’s also right, copying and pasting FX is fine, however because you cant clear all effects from a group of clips, you cant easily make a change to the FX across all those clips when you repaste – you get duplicate FX.
I think we need a bit of “are we there yet?”. “are we there yet?”.
“are we there yet?”.
“are we there yet?”.
“are we there yet?”.
“are we there yet?”.
“are we there yet?”.
“are we there yet?”.
“are we there yet?”.
“are we there yet?”.
“are we there yet?”.
“are we there yet?”.Here’s ya bloody media management now stop saying that! :]

As I read this I was hoping to find examples of what you are talking about.
Alas it was just a rant (not saying you dont have a point, just that you didn’t show it to us, you just told us you had one).
Norman, what do you mean?

Alex! How’s the Axio
OK the logging thing could be sorted by exporting the batch as a .csv file and then reimport those files. That way the data for audio only will be lost.
KB shortcuts – check Doc and settings, you should find a Premiere section where you could manually copy and paste the relative preference file. I am at home and dont have a machine in front of me but that’s the jist.
